A blog or a weblog is an informational website. It is a sort of journal where one can post information.
Most blogs have a header (with navigation bar or menu)
a main content area (for posts)
a side bar (for archives, social profiles)
and a footer (for privacy policy, contact details).
Gadgets(such as Adsense, poll, image etc) can be added to blogs. Blogs are different from websites. While most websites are static, blogs are updated frequently. (Ofcourse you may have things the other way round too!!!) Viewers can comment on a blog but this is not easily possible on a website.
